National Team Coaching

Tim Bacon and his partner Shona Kerr are currently available for National Team coaching contracts for female teams preparing for World and Jr. World squash championships. They are prepare to act as Assistant or Head Coaches, or to mentor existing National coaches as High Performance Advisors.

Tim coached the Canadian Jr. National Men’s team at the 1990 Jr. world Championships in Paderborn, Germany, and Shona was a member of the English Jr. National Squads and was U.S. 5.0 Champion in 2004, 2005 and a finalist in 2006 (5.0 was the highest category available for non-U.S. citizens). She is currently #14 in the World Racketlon rankings.

Both are certifed coaches and currently coaching full-time in the U.S.A: Tim is a Squash Canada Level 4 coaching a women’s team at Smith College in Massachusetts, and Shona is an SRA Level 3 Coach, coaching the men’s and women’s teams at Wesleyan University in Connecticut.

They co-presented on the topic of “Coaching Women’s Teams” at the WSF Coaching Conference in Cairo at the 2003 Jr. women’s World Championships.
